We tend to believe that after the devotion following a spiritual practice, in the cold reality of Monday morning Excel spreadsheets and market decisions, the Lord has left us to our own devices. This division is a misconception.<\/p><p><strong>The economic life and the world of our finances are not a domain devoid of God.<\/strong> This sphere is the primary arena for our spiritual maturity. This is where the Shekinah \u2013 the glory of the Divine Presence \u2013 can shine, and where we can unfold the divine resources entrusted to us: our talents.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-18686bc elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"18686bc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The Astounding Proportions of Scripture: More Than Economics!<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3933cbb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3933cbb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Many are surprised by how practical a book the Judeo-Christian Bible is. Christian financial advisors and theologians \u2013 including the renowned Howard Dayton, founder of Compass Finances God's Way and researchers with a theological vision from Dave Ramsey \u2013 <strong>have demonstrated that more than 2,350 verses in the Judeo-Christian Scriptures deal with money, wealth, and stewardship.<\/strong><\/p><p>To put this into context:<\/p><ul><li>\u2022\tThe Bible speaks of prayer in approximately 500 verses.<\/li><li>Faith is likewise attested to in barely 500 verses.<\/li><li>16 out of Jesus' 38 parables relate directly to the proper management of money, property, and material goods.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>This means that the Word of God speaks about money twice as many times as it does about faith and prayer combined.<\/strong><\/p><p>Why? Because the Lord knows exactly: the responsible management of material goods is a direct measure of our spiritual growth and trustworthiness. As the Master says to the faithful steward: <em>\u201cWell done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.\u201d (Mt 25:21).<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-19a872f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"19a872f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Yet Why Do We Believe That God Has Abandoned Us in Our Finances?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fd7c492 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fd7c492\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>If revelation guides us so abundantly, why do we still feel a sense of loneliness during our economic decisions? The answer lies in spiritual obscuration and false theological narratives.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d6a11d4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d6a11d4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">1. The Erroneous Separation of the Sacred and the Profane:<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a21dba4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a21dba4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Gnostic-rooted thinking has made Western culture believe that matters of the soul are pure (sacred), while matter, the market, and money are defiled (profane). This dualism hides the theology of creation from us, according to which the Earth and all its fullness belong to the Lord. This is confirmed by one of the rawest statements in the Old Testament: \u201cThe silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of Hosts.\u201d (Hag 2:8).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8c5d3e0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8c5d3e0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">2. Since neither distorted image provides answers to everyday business dilemmas, we feel that theology has failed us.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5a8159a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"5a8159a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">3. You are His trustee in the market, managing this inner capital. Never forget the Old Testament warning: \u201cYou may say to yourself, \u2018My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.\u2019 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth...\u201d (Deut 8:17-18).<\/li><li><strong>Creative risk-taking:<\/strong> In the well-known parable, the servant who buried the talent\u2014that is, the capital\u2014in the ground out of fear received judgment. God has called us not to passive security, but to the value-creating growth of the capital entrusted to us.<\/li><li><strong>Building the Kingdom of God on earth:<\/strong> Profit is not the ultimate goal, but the fuel. The purpose of the Divine Business approach is to create more profitable enterprises, self-actualized individuals, just structures, workplaces, and value through multiplied capital.
